Enhancing Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Hangzhou, China
Address: Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, China
Solution: 9 Charging Stations, 21 DC Chargers (120kW), 748 AC Chargers (7kW)
Livoltek is proud to be part of a groundbreaking municipal EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project in the Shangcheng District of Hangzhou, China. This initiative focuses on improving electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure by deploying nine charging stations equipped with a total of 21 units of 120 kW DC chargers and 748 units of 7 kW AC chargers.
Overview:
This project represents the first publicly operated charging station in China, offering both fast charging and slow charging options. The 120 kW DC chargers, featuring a dual-gun charging design, ensure rapid charging, with the capability to fully charge a vehicle in just 30 minutes. Livoltek’s DC charging piles own an intelligent monitoring and communication system, providing flexible charging strategies and over-the-air (OTA) remote upgrade capabilities. The system’s attributes include fast charging, easy management, and efficient operation, making it the ideal solution for public fast charging station projects.
Location Significance:
Situated near the Mid-Levels Scenic Area, this parking lot serves as a crucial parking and rest area. The increased demand for new energy charging from residents and visitors prompted the need for a reliable and efficient charging solution. The municipal government of Shangcheng District responded to this by closely aligning with the construction tasks of adding 800 EV charging piles and building 1,000 new electric bicycle charging piles (ports) as part of the Shangcheng District Civil Affairs Project in 2023.
Progress and Impact:
As of now, 127 charging guns, including those in the Gaotingshan public parking lot, have been successfully constructed, addressing the urgent need for efficient charging solutions. Additionally, a total of 608 electric bicycle charging ports in Wujiang Second Park, Wujiang First Park, and Wangjiang Xinyi Park Phase I have been completed and are now in use. These efforts have effectively eliminated “charging anxiety” for citizens, enabling “charging freedom” and ensuring that green energy significantly contributes to improving people’s lives.
